Tooling EDGE – Produção Sustentável de Elevado Desempenho

O Projecto Tooling Edge tem como objectivo principal desenvolver conhecimento científico e tecnológico, metodologias de trabalho e de organização inovadoras e adaptadas ao sector de Engineering & Tooling que, através de um processo de demonstração e disseminação, permitam incrementar o desempenho global da indústria e o valor acrescentado nos seus processos e produtos.

 

Seguindo uma abordagem multidisciplinar, envolvendo o desenvolvimento do produto (ou do molde, quando aplicável, as tecnologias de fabrico e as questões organizacionais e de impactos ambientais, o Projecto visa preparar as PMEs do sector para uma actuação competitivamente sustentável em mercados considerados estratégicos: aeronáutico, automóvel, saúde, electrónica e da embalagem. Para cada um destes sectores, tratados sob a forma de Casos de Estudo suportados por Actividades de Investigação.
O projecto visa ainda desenvolver mecanismos e metodologias de monitorização, vigilância e de inteligência competitiva que alimentem o sector com informação relevante, de forma a facilitar uma estratégia empresarial proactiva, não apenas para a concretização de um posicionamento competitivo e de uma maior diferenciação na oferta (reduzindo riscos de polarização), mas também de um incremento do valor acrescentado e da visibilidade no mercado internacional.
